Corinne Breshears, RN BSN, Internationl Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Meet Corinne, owner of San Diego Lactation and a passionate Labor and Delivery/Postpartum Nurse, Newborn Care Specialist, and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant!

After years of practicing as a Pediatric and Postpartum Registered Nurse, I founded San Diego Lactation LLC in 2021. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Human Development in 2006 from UC San Diego, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010 from Samuel Merritt University. I continue working in Labor and Delivery part time while continuing working as an IBCLC (lactation consultant) doing the work that I love every day. 

I've been working with mothers and babies in their homes for years even before I was a Registered Nurse as a Newborn Care Specialist. Over the years, I've cared for diverse families. I specialize in flange fittings, twins, loow milk supply, and currently serve as a mentor in La Leche League for Multiples. I'm married and I have three daughters that I breastfed, including one set of twins. The challenges and lack of support with breastfeeding through tongue ties, caring for twins, and pumping at work is what drives me to support others. 

I'm very passionate about supporting mothers and parents in their breastfeeding goals and in providing gentle care for families at a critical time in their lives. I'm here to support you and your goals, whatever they may be. 

Michelle Ricketts, BS Certified Lactation Counselor

Meet Michelle Ricketts, a Certified Lactation Counselor and Perinatal Educator dedicated to supporting families through the transformative journey of parenthood. 

I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University in 2011 and completed my CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) certification in 2024 through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. I am working towards 

My passion stems from my own experiences as a mother. I breastfed both my son and daughter and found profound meaning in the connection, challenges, and growth that come with feeding and nurturing a baby. These personal experiences ignited my desire to empower other families with knowledge, confidence, and compassionate support.

In addition to individualized lactation guidance, I teach prenatal classes designed to prepare expectant parents for the early weeks with their baby. I believe that informed and supported families feel more confident in their choices and better equipped for the journey ahead.

I feel truly honored to walk alongside growing families as they navigate feeding, healing, and bonding. My mission is to provide evidence-based education, non-judgmental care, and encouragement every step of the way.
