Engineers Week began in 1951 by celebrating the birthday of one of our nation’s first engineering role models, George Washington, noted for his engineering survey work. National Engineers Week is about recognizing and celebrating engineers and the contributions engineers make in the world around us. The 2027 Engineers Week theme is "Create, Design, Engineer".
On February 26, 2027 the San Diego County Engineering Council (SDCEC) will kick-off Engineers Week with the San Diego Engineers Week Awards Banquet. You are invited to participate by becoming a Banquet Sponsor.

Sponsor Levels: All sponsors receive a reception display table, will be recognized during the banquet programming, on our website and social media promotion. Here is a Sponsor Letter to forward within your organizaitons. In addition:

An Engineering Legend is a pioneer or historic role model who represents the originality, innovation and advancement of the engineering profession. Each Sponsor has the opportunity to select an Engineering Legend who is reflective of your industry and who has received society's highest technical honors. Please select your legend early. SPONSORED LEGENDS will only be assigned once and will be featured through promotional materials and on social media.
You may select an ENGINEERING LEGEND FROM OUR LIBRARY or are welcome to suggest a new legend with advanced notice - ideally by Jan 2 or sooner. For additional inquires or to make a suggestion, please contact: sponsorship@SanDiegoEngineers.org
