Delta Sigma Pi was founded on November 7, 1907 at the New York University School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance by Harold Valentine Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello and Henry Albert Tienken. At the time, the best business school organization on campus was not open to many students, and these four enterprising undergraduates were determined to start an inclusive fraternity for business majors—an organization that became Delta Sigma Pi.
Delta Sigma Pi continues to innovate, always growing in how we serve our members, our communities, and the business world. As the nation’s foremost fraternity for business majors and professionals, we partner with our members for life, building relationships, skills, and the ideals necessary for them to make a significant impact wherever life leads.
Today, Delta Sigma Pi has grown to over 300 active collegiate chapters with more than 285,000 initiated members. At Delta Sigma Pi, we are proud of the rich heritage and ongoing excellence that makes us America’s best business fraternity—and the leading fraternity for professionals worldwide.
