The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented by the Board of Education to up to six site volunteers who have gone above and beyond to serve their school community.
The six awards will include up to one awardee from each of the five board member sub-districts and one districtwide awardee chosen by our student board members. The recipients of the awards will be honored at a special recognition ceremony on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Patrick Henry High School. Previous recipients are not eligible.
Each nomination must be submitted by the site principal with a one-page letter of recommendation describing how the nominees volunteer work aligns with the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
