This is my second year at TRACE School and my ninth year teaching Special Education in San Diego Unified School District.
I grew up in Virginia and attended the University of Virginia where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Anthropology, as well as, a Master’s Degree in Education. While at UVA, I also played division one softball.
After moving to San Diego, I attended San Diego State, National and Alliant Universities where I earned my Level I and II Teaching Credentials in Special Education- Mild/Moderate Disabilities and an added authorization for teaching students with Autism. I also hold a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certification.
I am an avid traveler and spent three years backpacking across the United States, Mexico, Central and South America with my husband. When I’m not working or traveling, I enjoy surfing, skiing, practicing yoga, camping, hiking and cooking.
I am very passionate about helping people with disabilities to reach their goals and I am excited about the opportunity to work with you this school year!
