The San Diego Chapter of the Entrepreneur's Organization (EO) is hosting their annual FREE EO San Diego Young Female Founders Summit at the SDSU Lavin Entrepreneurship Center on Friday, June 14th from 1 – 4:30 pm. Founded in 1987, EO is a network of 18,000+ business owners in over 75 countries that prepares entrepreneurs to succeed in business and beyond. EO’s Young Female Founders Summit (YFF) brings 12 to 20-year-old females together for an inspiring afternoon of speakers, panelists, and competitions. Participants will meet and learn from San Diego's leading women entrepreneurs, network with peers, and compete in a business challenge where they will apply their imagination and creativity to win prizes. No experience necessary - bring your curiosity, imagination, and personality. Lunch will be provided.

The Cleveland National Forest is seeking female students ages 16 – 18 to participate in their inaugural All Girls Camp to inspire girls to pursue careers in wildland firefighting and other exciting and rewarding Forest Service occupations.

FBI San Diego is now accepting applications for their 2024 Teen Academy, a free full-day program for rising high school juniors and seniors to get a comprehensive look into today’s FBI. Students will participate in presentations and hands-on activities covering a variety of law enforcement topics such as terrorism, cybercrime, public corruption, polygraph exams, evidence response, SWAT, and the day-to-day operations of a typical FBI office. Students will also hear from special agents, intelligence analysts, language specialists, and professional staff about investigative tactics including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and assisting with cases.

San Diego Squared (SD2) has opened the application for the Fall 2024 cohort of their Squared Fellows yearlong mentorship program for incoming 10th – 12th grade San Diego County high school students. The goal of the program is to connect marginalized students to San Diego’s most innovative companies to help them launch their careers in STEM. Starting this September, Fellows will enjoy a series of industry site tours at top San Diego employers, networking with STEM professionals, and 1-on-1 mentoring for the 2024-25 school year.

Be incoming 10th – 12th grade students at a San Diego County high school.
Commit to one after-school mentoring session per week and one Saturday session per month for the program duration.
Be from a population underrepresented in STEM industry sectors. SD2 staff interpret this broadly and it can include ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, experience of barriers to education/employment (i.e. experience in the child welfare system or justice system, poverty, homelessness, immigration), experience of a disability, and/or any other experiences the applicant thinks may be relevant.

The Mission Trails Regional Park (MTRP) Foundation is excited to share that applications are now open for the Fall 2024 cohort of our Eco Ambassadors program at Mission Trails Regional Park. This free program is designed for teens interested in nature, the environment, and the interconnectedness of the world around them. The Eco Ambassadors program includes presentations from local environmentalists, hands-on field experience, and a chance to explore a variety of environmental career interests. The program is open to students enrolled in San Diego County high schools.
