The Clairemont School Week At A Glance (SWAG) is intended to provide students, staff, and families with timely information about upcoming events and important announcements for the coming week.
In June, Clairemont High School hosted a Unified Summer Adventure and Sports Camp with the support of Special Olympics for middle and high school students. The camp is designed to so that every child, regardless of ability, discovers the thrill of adventure and the power of togetherness.
In Week 1, the campers embarked on an exhilarating journey at the UCSD Challenge course, mastering teamwork and communication through challenges on their ropes course and ziplines. They then ventured to Camp Cedar Glen for three days and two nights, forging lasting bonds through outdoor activities like archery, climbing, hiking, swimming, and fireside camaraderie, all while savoring delicious meals.
As they transition into Week 2, the focus shifted to sports, dance, and art. Guided by Clairemont coaches, the campers honed their skills in basketball, football, soccer, and dance while also collaborating on an inspiring art mural.
The camp was focused on instilling the values of our theme: Being G.R.E.A.T.—Good behavior, Respect, Encouragement, positive Attitude, and Teamwork through a variety of sports and activities for the campers. The photos included celebrate unity, growth, and the joy of shared experiences at our camp!
