Xello College Planning Tools Session
Wednesday, September 6th at 5:00pm
Seniors & Parents/Guardians, SDUSD would like to invite you to a session provided by Xello - our platform for self, college and career exploration focused on College Planning tools.
In this 60-minute session, learn how Xello’s College Planning tools support the college admissions process, including support for scholarship and financial aid applications. See how Xello empowers your college bound students to stay organized and on track with college information gathering, planning, and application tracking.
What we will cover during our time together:
Demonstrate how students create and track college applications in Xello
Discover how educators track students’ college choices and application progress
Discuss how to support college-bound students with Xello’s built-in college planning resources
Start or Renew a Club
The start of every school year is an opportunity to continue an existing club or start a new club. Clubs are a great way to gather people with common interests and goals.
All clubs must be approved by ASB governing board members and admin.
How Do You Start a New Club?
Here is what you will need:
1 - A name, a common interest that brings people together (i.e. chess club, drama club, boys’ basketball).
2 - A certificated faculty member (teacher) on campus to be your advisor.
3 - Club officers: President, VP, Treasurer, and Secretary.
4 - An established time & meeting place.
Club Creation
All clubs must complete Club Packet paperwork at the beginning of the academic year to be an official CHS club. Clubs are recognized on the first day of the following academic school year.
To complete:
Make a copy, fill it out digitally or printed, and sign it, and then scanned and sent to clairemonthsasb@gmail.com and “cc” gsenteno@sandi.net
Paper packet turned into ASB mailbox in the front office.
Clairemont Kudos
What are Clairemont Kudos?
A school-wide effort to recognize students for doing something worthy of a shout out. It could be academically focused on the CHS 4 Cs (Critical Thinker, Collaborative Communicator, Creator/Innovator, Contributing Citizen) or something else a staff member notices.
What Do I Do If I Receive A Clairemont Kudo?
Fill out the address.
Bring it to office and put it in the Clairemont Kudos box.
Every week two Clairemont Kudos will be pulled from the box and those students will receive a prize.
At the end of each week, Clairemont Kudos are mailed home. Check your mailbox!
