CHS is Happy To Announce our Drop in Center open daily in Room 308 before and after school as a part of our IMIN Program!!!
What is IMIN? -the simple answer...FREE, Before & After School Enrichment Programs!!!
The late bus is separate from VEEP transportation and is open to all students.
Transportation needed from the drop-off locations.
Thanks ASB for kicking off the year with a water pep rally!
The start of every school year is an opportunity to continue an existing club or start a new club. Clubs are a great way to gather people with common interests and goals.
All clubs must be approved by ASB governing board members and admin.
Here is what you will need:
1 - A name, a common interest that brings people together (i.e. chess club, drama club, boys’ basketball).
2 - A certificated faculty member (teacher) on campus to be your advisor.
3 - Club officers: President, VP, Treasurer, and Secretary.
4 - An established time & meeting place.
All clubs must complete Club Packet paperwork at the beginning of the academic year to be an official CHS club. Clubs are recognized on the first day of the following academic school year.
To complete:
Make a copy, fill it out digitally or printed, and sign it, and then scanned and sent to clairemonthsasb@gmail.com and “cc” gsenteno@sandi.net
Paper packet turned into ASB mailbox in the front office.
Have you seen the electrical boxes painted around campus and around Clairemont? They are all painted by volunteers who want to improve Clairemont.
Bella Pinzini (Class of 2024) is a perfect example of continuing to give back to her school community and greater community of Clairemont.
She took on a painting project at the end of last school year and has spent some of her free time this summer, painting one of the boxes on the corner of Balboa and Modoc.
Thank you Bella! It looks amazing!
If you are interested in a project like this or on campus, talk to Ms. Heidi and/or Mr. Hoffman.
A student is considered on the Attendance Loss of Privilege (LOP) if they accumulate up to or or over 60 minutes of instructional time to recover. A student on Attendance LOP will be assigned to attend Instructional Recovery Time (IRT).
For those of you who are new to Clairemont, welcome to the CHS Family!
I would love to introduce you to our Travel Club- The Globetrotters. CHS Globetrotters 2.0 was created in order to provide educational travel opportunities to our high school students. We are a community of travelers, explorers and creators, founded on the ideas of sharing, wondering, and personal exploration of the world. Educational travel exposes students to new people, places, and cultures which in turn expands their knowledge of the world and their knowledge of themselves which is why I’m thrilled to bring this opportunity to your family and our community.
I’m so excited to invite you to join us in Spain during Spring Break of 2025! Our first informational meeting will be at 5 pm on August 22 in Room 114. Please RSVP- https://bit.ly/3LHUkbg
***For those of you who are already going on the trip, AWESOME-I cannot wait to travel with you, and no need to show up to this meeting- this is the intro for those who are unfamiliar with the trip and our club.***
Check out some of last Spring Break's amazing sites Globetrotters 2.0 2024 trip
As a club we will be holding monthly meetings during lunch-location and dates TBD. I will send out an invite to the first club meeting the 2nd week of school.
I do want to emphasize that we are a club on campus, the CHS Globetrotters, and with that said we are going to fundraise from now until our trip to defray costs. The more active our students are with these efforts, the cheaper the trip will be for them- WIN WIN.
EF is also offering $1K scholarships-Apply Here
Also, each student does receive a personal online fundraising page- it is not unlikely for a student to raise 50% of their trip by merely posting and socializing the page to all of your relatives and friends. Visit my info page here to enroll. Enroll now and take advantage of EF’s risk-free enrollment period. We have limited space available! Nine have booked for this trip so far. When we hit 30 we will have a private tour (no other groups will share our bus).
Please reach out with any questions. Thank you and I look forward to showing your student the world!
