Class of 2024!!!! New plan! Since construction is wrapping up, we will be moving the senior parking spots back to the main student lot. Spots will be $75 and will go on sale starting Monday (14th). Fill out the interest form below. The image is an overview of the parking lot and should help you get an idea of where your future spot might be. The form is intended to give the Class of 2024 Student Leadership Team insight into who may be interested; it is not meant to be a guarantee of a spot.
Step #2 - Parking Spot Design
After you have filled out the interest form, you need to submit a design for your parking spot!! To be eligible to select a parking spot on August 19th (Saturday), you must submit your design by August 18th (Friday). SD Unified Project-Based Learning Institute
What are teachers doing during the summer? Of course they take time off to re-charge. They also spend time honing their craft through professional learning opportunities and developing their course curriculum.
We had four teacher teams spend two-to-four weeks creating new curriculum and developing student projects at SDUSD Project-Based Learning institute. Students in Info Tech (Ms. Leon & Scottie Lee), Digital Media Production (Mr. Sparks & Mr. Zauderer), Internship (Ms. Cantwell) and Freshman Foundations (Ms. Leon, Ms. Diggs, & Ms. Cantwell) better be ready for some fun learning experiences. Thank you teachers!
Construction Updates
Main Parking Lot
The construction company has promised the parking lot will be available the first day of school.
Health & Medical Classrooms
Alfie Nowak and Tania Pena will be teaching in new classrooms in the 500 building this year. Photo updates next weekend.
Track & Field Throws Area
Final inspection is this week.
New Gym Lawn
Grass was laid this past week after two years of construction to lawn. Three water main breaks in 2021-22 and Health & Medical Classroom project in 2022-23 made it unusable. By mid-Sept it will be a beautiful space for to use.
Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Forms
PLEASE COMPLETE
PLEASE COMPLETE
What are LCFF forms and why are they important?
Collecting fully completed LCFF forms makes a significant difference in the amount of Title I and LCFF funding CHS receives. They’re also important for AP and SAT fee waivers.
LCFF paper forms will be distributed to students 2nd period Monday
Parents have two options in submitting their LCFF form to CHS and earning funding for students and programs on our campus.
Parents may enter LCFF data in PowerSchool through their Parent Portal account using this Job Aid,
OR
Parents may complete the paper form that was sent home with their child. Please ask your student for the form, fill it out, and return it to the front office at your earliest convenience.
If you have any additional questions about this form, contact the front office staff at (619) 605-2600.
Thank you for helping us reach our goal of 100% completion of LCFF forms for the 2023-2024 school year and getting funding for the students of Clairemont.
