"DECK THE HOUSE" WITH PRINCIPAL WILLIAMS & THE WILLIAMS FAMILY

Looking for a safe and fun way to celebrate the holidays? Then check out the Clairemont High School Foundation's "Deck The House" house decorating competition. Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate. Simply decorate your house, submit your contest entry information with the CHS Foundation, and let the voting begin. Families will be provided with an address list (no names will be shared) and encouraged to drive the route provided and submit their votes for house(s) that best represent the holiday spirt. AND ... Principal Williams and his family invite you to join them this Friday, December 18, as they lead a caravan to view all the houses in this month's competition. They will be supporting the CHS Foundation Fundraiser at Jersey Mike's and grabbing a bite to eat to take on the way. Those interested can meet up with the Williams family at Jersey Mike's located at 5657 Balboa Ave. at 4:45 pm this Friday, December 18. The caravan leaves promptly at 5:00 pm. Hope to see you there.

VIRTUAL OFFICE HOURS AND CURBSIDE PICK UP/DROP OFF

Due to the recent spike in COVID cases, the CHS Front Office team is providing alternative ways to serve our students, parents, and community in order to minimize walk-in traffic to the office. As a result, CHS will be hosting Virtual Office Hours where parents can speak with members of our Front Office team via Zoom to discuss any questions, comments or concerns. Our Virtual Office Hours are as follows:

Tuesdays 8:30am-10:30am
Thursdays 10:30am - 11:30am

CHS will also be offering Curbside Pick Up/Drop Off Service for students and/or parents needing to pick up or drop off various materials (i.e. school papers, records, transcripts, instructional supplies, etc.). Once parents arrive, they will need to call the main office line and a member of the CHS Front Office Staff will come out and assist them. Our Curbside Pick Up/Drop Off Services times are:

MAKIN' IT TOGETHER WITH CHS - MAC N' CHEESE

Every Wednesday at 3:00 pm, the CHS ASB will be hosting a "Makin' It Together With CHS" event. Students, parents, and staff are all invited to join the Zoom each and every week to engage in a variety of hands on activities (i.e., learning to cook, craft, dance, etc.). This Wednesday, December 9, ASB students will be hosting the next "Makin' It" event with their "Mac N' Cheese" Zoom session. Be sure the check out the flier below for a list of supplies you can pick up prior to the session as well as a link to the Zoom meeting. We hope to see you all there.

ANOTHER HIT FROM THE CHS THESPIAN CLUB

Congratulations to the CHS Thespian Club on their virtual production of Everyone Gets Eaten By Sharks. 23 students (and a few family members) worked together to produce our first online production, working both on screen and behind the scenes. FAFSA/DREAM ACT APPLICATION WORKSHOP

On Thursday, January 14th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, the CHS Counseling staff and WAHUPA will be helping out CHS families complete and submit the FAFSA or Dream Act Applications. SENIORS, SUBMIT YOUR BABY PHOTO FOR THIS YEAR'S YEARBOOK

Hey CHS Seniors, it's time to get those beautiful baby pictures in to the CHS Yearbook committee to be featured in this year's yearbook.

Due to the circumstances this year, the yearbook staff cannot accept any physical copies of photos. All photos must be submitted to the CHS Yearbook email (clairemontyearbook21@gmail.com) by Sunday, December 20th.

Photos must be sent as a .jpg or .jpeg. Scanning apps can be downloaded on most phones to help enhance the quality of the picture.

Please don't forget to add your name in the email and the subject should read "Baby pics". Photos sent past December 20th will not be accepted.

CLAIRMEONT COMMUNITY OF SCHOOLS MEETING

Clairemont Community of Schools are meetings in which parents and staff from all 5 feeder elementary schools, Marston and Clairemont High School discuss topics like K-12 alignment, district updates, enrollment, marketing and other items brought forth to the committee. Area Superintendents, principals and a SDUSD Board Trustee often attend these meetings. CHS Player's Creed

It is the mission of the CHS athletics program to teach our student-athletes principles that will guide them for the rest of their lives. CHS athletics isn't just about better athletes, but better people. That is why we are so excited to launch our new CHS Player's Creed (see below). In collaboration with the CHS Athletic Leadership council and various stakeholders, the CHS Player’s Creed was developed to outline what we believe it means to be a CHIEF. Every student participating in athletics at CHS, as well as their parent/guardian will be required to sign the CHS Student-Athlete Contract which states the following:

As a student-athlete at Clairemont High School you have the privilege of being part of a memorable and life changing experience. With this privilege comes great responsibility.
