Please be sure to check out the Senior Website, hot off the virtual presses!
We will keep this up to date with a Senior Gallery, messages from our staff, and of course the FAQ- (Frequently asked questions page). We know the importance of having “all things Senior”, in one placeJ
Also, don’t forget that the last two Senior Portrait sessions are coming up on campus.
Hey CHS Students,
Do you need to clear unexcused absences or tardies to get off the Loss of Privilege (LOP) list? You are in luck. Starting Saturday, October 9, CHS will be hosting the first of many Core Academy (Saturday School) sessions. Core Academy will be held on the CHS campus from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on the following dates:
October 9, 30
November 20
December 4, 11
January 8, 22
February 5, 12, 26
March 5, 12, 19
April 9, 16, 23, 30
May 7, 14, 21
June 4
Students who attend Core Academy may recover one (1) eligible full day absence or (4) period absences for each full day (4 hours) of attendance at Core Academy. Or they can recover 16 tardies. Be sure to check your attendance in PowerSchool weekly and sign up for Core Academy if needed. As a friendly reminder, 12 unexcused absences, tardies, and/or period absences will result in placement on the Loss of Privilege (LOP) list. Students on the LOP list will not be allowed to attend school-wide functions such as dances and athletic events until they take the necessary action to be removed from the LOP list. For more information about Core Academy, visit the CHS Core Academy website. Be sure to use the Registration Link to sign up for each Core Academy session you plan to attend. If you have any additional questions about Core Academy, please contact Ms. Heidi Fulton (hfulton@sandi.net).

Research and best practice suggest that meaningful discussions about education require those involved to speak a common language, albeit in different dialects. In appreciation of this precept, Education and Community Outreach through UCSD, offers contextually grounded programming for parents and caregivers under the auspices of Parent and Caregiver Education (PACE). Programming is delivered in English and Spanish without charge to schools, districts and community-based organizations.
PACE workshops are custom designed to attend to the unique needs of audiences in terms of content and delivery (face-to-face, blended/hybrid, and completely online). Each session is about an hour in duration and can be differentiated by age level (pre-kindergarten, elementary, secondary, and postsecondary) or tailored to meet the needs of multiage groups.
Workshops are augmented by short-form videos available for download from the Education Channel at University of California Television (UCTV) and companion guides that may be found at the University of California Professional Development Institute (UCPDI). These resources are also publicly available without cost.
Please use the link below to let us know what workshops you might be interested in.

It is the mission of the CHS athletics program to teach our student-athletes principles that will guide them for the rest of their lives. CHS athletics isn't just about better athletes, but better people. That is why we are so excited to launch our new CHS Player's Creed (see below). In collaboration with the CHS Athletic Leadership council and various stakeholders, the CHS Player’s Creed was developed to outline what we believe it means to be a CHIEF. Every student participating in athletics at CHS, as well as their parent/guardian will be required to sign the CHS Student-Athlete Contract which states the following:
As a student-athlete at Clairemont High School you have the privilege of being part of a memorable and life changing experience. With this privilege comes great responsibility. Therefore, it is the expectation of the CHS admin team and Athletic Director that all who participate in athletics actively work to model character and integrity of the highest quality in the classroom, on the court/pool/field, and in our community. By signing this contract, you agree to strive to live a life worthy of emulating by exhibiting Courage, Humility, Integrity, Endurance, and Focus in all that you do.
