Fostering Safe Learning Environments

The safety of our students, staff and families is our main priority. In a continuous effort to foster safe and inclusive school environments, we would like to provide our San Diego Unified community the following information:

a) Our district’s Nondiscrimination Policy for District Programs and Activities, inclusive of protections for gender identity and gender expression.

b) Our Student Nondiscrimination and Prohibition of Sexual Harassment Policy, inclusive of reporting procedures; and,

c) Information on our Title IX sexual harassment complain procedures, including provisions for ensuring schools are free from sexual harassment, harassment, discrimination, intimidation and bullying.

Program Requirements:

  • You live within San Diego Unified School District’s boundaries

  • You have not graduated from high school

  • You are expecting a baby (mothers and fathers to be)

  • You are a teen parent (mother or father)


Program Accommodations:

  • Expectant Teen Classroom: Garfield High School

  • Infant Toddler Center: Garfield High School

  • Support Services from Cal-SAFE School Counselor

  • Referral Services to Community Partners

Services are provided per the District's policy during the COVID 19 response.
