About Me

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I teach 6th grade Language Arts. I'm looking forward to a great year getting to know all my classes and striving to achieve our fullest potential!

I was born and raised here in San Diego.  I attended USDHS (now Cathedral HS), then headed up to UC Davis for my B.A. in English.  I also received my Multiple Subject credential there before returning home to San Diego.  I received both my M.A. in English and my English Single Subject credential from National University.  I am currently working on completing my Social Science credential. I began teaching at Dana in 2002, and I have taught both 5th and 6th grade Language Arts, Computers, Drama, and 6th grade Social Studies.

One of my favorite hobbies is traveling. I have been very fortunate to travel to many places throughout the world and experience several different fascinating cultures. I love sharing stories of my adventures in traveling with my students and hearing any they may have in return.

Again, I look forward to a wonderful year.  See you in room 208!
