About Me

My name is Celeste Gallen and I am excited to teach science at Dana Middle School.  I look forward to working with you this year!

I graduated from National University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in science, I also have an AS in Animal Health Technology from Mesa College.  My love for science started with my first career as a Registered Veterinary Technician for horses, and I am now enjoying teaching as my second career.

I live in Point Loma with my two boys (ages 21 and 19), and our four dogs.  The beach is a huge part of our lives as both of my boys surf, so naturally the environment and ecology are important topics for me.  As well as watching my boys surf, I love to cook, practice yoga, and spend time with family and friends.

My goal is to foster an interest in science and to try and create an idea of environmental ambassadorship in each student.
