In Reading, we will begin the year by identifying the literary elements of theme, setting, conflict, point of view, and plot line in our short story unit; and, then follow with reading the listed novels throughout the year: Hatchet, Sign of the Beaver, Pedro's Journal, Tuck Everlasting, Holes, and My Brother Sam is Dead.
