In 8th grade social studies, we explore United States history and geography spanning from the 1700’s through the early 1900’s. Thematically, we learn about colonial times & the American Revolution, the Constitution and new republic, westward expansion, sectional differences between the North and South, slavery, the Civil War, Reconstruction, Native Americans, immigration patterns, and the second Industrial Revolution, just to name a few.
Below is our class agenda. There is a slide for each day we have class showing what we did, what should get done for homework that day (if any), and all sorts of other lil' tidbits of important info. It is updated in real time, which means what you're reading right now is 99.99% accurate (please keep in mind though I am only human, shocking I know), so checking this is the best way to stay up to date in our class and not fall behind. It will always be here and I will do my best to make sure all the links are available and everything is as accurate as possible. So should you ever be absent, physically or mentally haha, double check here. Remember, as a student, it is your responsibility to stay on top of things. I will do my best to help you along this journey we are on, but remember, it takes two to tango. #FaucherOverAndOut
