Marine Science Schedule
All work is due on google classroom within the first two minutes of your period. No exceptions.
Students can use typed or handwritten notes on all quizzes or tests so students should study and/or make these notes during class time for their upcoming quizzes and tests.

Week 1 (8/10-8/14)
Monday: Go over syllabus and safety rules. Signed syllabus due 8/13.
Tuesday: Read chapter 1 on Google classroom pdfs. Complete 20 terms for chapter 1 and answer the section review questions. This will be due on Google classroom on 8/17 within the first two minutes of the period. Students will complete maps assignment due 8/14 within the first two minutes of the period.
Wednesday: Same as Tuesday.
Thursday: Same as Tuesday.
Friday: Read chapter 1 on Google classroom pdfs. Complete 20 terms for chapter 1 and answer the section review questions. This will be due on Google classroom on 8/17 within the first two minutes of the period on google classroom.
Week 2 (8/17-8/21)
Monday-Friday: Chapter 2-complete 20 key terms and answer all of the section review questions due Monday 8/24 within the first two minutes of the period on google classroom.
Wednesday: Quiz on chapter 1.
Week 3 (8/24-8/28)
Monday: Discuss Natural disaster project due 9/5 and work on natural disaster project. The project is due on google classroom within the first two minutes of the class period.
Tuesday: Same as Monday. Chapter 2 quiz on google forms.
Wednesday-Friday: Same as Monday.
Week 4 (8/31-9/4)
Monday: Read chapter 3 pdfs, complete 20 key terms and answer all of the section review questions due Tuesday 9/8 on Google classroom.
Tuesday-Thursday: Same as Monday.
Friday: Same assignment as Monday. We will discuss the ocean acidification lab.
Week 5 (9/7-9/11)
Monday: Holiday
Tuesday: Ocean acidification lab due 9/15.
Wednesday: Same as Tuesday. Quiz on chapter 3.
Thursday: Review for chapters 1-3 exam and work on ocean acidificaiton lab due 9/15.
Friday: Test on chapters 1-3.
Week 6 (9/14-9/18)
Monday-Friday: Read Chapter 4 pdfs and complete 20 key terms and answer all of the section review questions due Monday 9/21.
Week 7 (9/21-9/25)
Monday-Tuesday: Students will complete the sand lab. This lab will be due 9/25.
Wednesday: Quiz on chapter 4. Students will read the chapter 5 pdfs, complete 20 terms from chapter 5, and complete the section review questions due 10/1.
Thursday: Students will read the chapter 5 pdfs, complete 20 terms from chapter 5, and complete the section review questions due 10/1.
Friday: Same as Thursday.
Week 8 (9/28-10/2)
Monday: Students will read the chapter 5 pdfs, complete 20 terms from chapter 5, and complete the section review questions due 10/1.
Tuesday-Wednesday: Same as Monday.
Thursday: Review for chapters 1-3 test. Create any notes that you want to use.
Friday: Chapters 1-3 test.
Week 9 (10/5-10/9)
Monday-Wednesday: Study for final on chapters 1-5.
Thursday: Quarter 1 Final.
Friday: Make-up for final if students were absent. Begin quarter 2 topics. Students should read chapter 12 pdfs, complete 20 terms and all of the section review questions due 10/19.
Week 10 (10/12-10/16)
Tuesday-Friday: Students should read chapter 12 pdfs, complete 20 terms and all of the section review questions due 10/19. Discuss biomagnfication and biodiversity labs on Friday 10/16.
