Essential Question - How can we use our voice to evoke change in systemic inequalities within our community?
Learning Target:
Students will be able to apply their learning of systemic inequalities and transfer that knowledge to real world problems.
Students will work in groups and through the design thinking process will be able to address these problems.
Students will learn how to use their voice and how to empathize with others in order to make social and political change.
Overview -
Through the design thinking process, student groups will examine various systemic inequalities in the Linda Vista Community and work to make necessary changes through a variety of deliverables. Students will work with USD and community partners to learn current and possible solutions and needs of the community. Students will show empathy, compassion and problem solving skills to make positive changes to the community.
