Welcome to Mt. Everest Academy's new CTE Computer Science Pathway! Thanks to a generous state grant, we are thrilled to offer students cutting-edge opportunities in computer science education. This pathway brings a robust curriculum focused on skills in game design, programming, and technology-based problem-solving. Students will gain hands-on experience, preparing them for exciting careers in the tech industry and beyond. We are committed to empowering our students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in today’s digital world, and we’re excited to begin this journey together!

Courses for the 2025-2026 School Year

TECH EXPLORATION

Gr. 3-5
Tech Exploration introduces elementary students to circuits, coding, robotics, and 3D design. This is a fantastic way to spark curiosity and build computer science foundational skills in young learners.

INTRO TO CODING

Gr. 7 & 8
In this course, students are introduced to foundational computer science principles and begin developing computational thinking skills. Through applying logical reasoning to real-world scenarios, they explore the world of coding by creating various digital products.

CS DISCOVERIES

Gr. 8-12
Corequisite: Math Integrated I
Computer Science Discoveries is an introductory course that explores a broad range of computer science topics, including programming, physical computing, user interface design, and data. Students engage with computer science as a tool for creativity, problem-solving, and communication by building real-world projects.
