Collaborative Leadership at Lincoln:
Context: Lincoln has active collaborative leadership bodies present on campus (SGT, ILT, SSC, Departments, Small Schools, etc.). Within these groups, all present have active voices in guiding decisions. Protocols at our meetings are defined by each group.
Purpose: To ensure all Lincoln stakeholders have a voice in our leadership and decision-making bodies.
How:
One of our goals is to increase participation from parent/guardians. We started by hosting listening circles to understand parent preferences. We are hosting monthly family meetings and classes, where we are pairing a fun activity and learning opportunity. For example, we hosted a cooking class with a focus on communication and will host a tutorial on how to navigate the parent portal.
We are bringing back the UCSD Parent and Caregiver Education (PACE) classes for the 25-26 school year. One adjustment we made is morning and evening sessions to accommodate our families' working schedules. Schedule will be posted.
We will host quarterly meetings where parents/guardians can meet and speak with our administrative team.
During our meetings and classes, we are actively recruiting parents/guardians to participate in our decision making bodies. Please see below on how you can get involved in these decision making bodies or email Ana Diaz (adiaz3@sandi.net) for more information.
