Context:
The Site Governance Team (SGT) is the democratically elected body that engages in collaborative decision making to achieve common goals for the Ibarra school community. SGT facilitates discussions, encourage diverse viewpoints, and promotes teamwork to foster innovation and problem-solving.
Purpose:
Emphasize open communication, active listening, and mutual respect among participants
Work together to ensure all voices are heard in the planning and implementation process of our needs and assets assessment
Transparency with community schools funding and spending on projects
Our Journey with Collaborative Leadership:
Kimbrough grew their SGT voting members from 6 members to 11 members in September 2025. These include 1 administrator, 6 certificated staff, 1 classified staff, and 3 parents.
