Formative Assessments

These are independent assignments that I grade.

I also like to randomly spot check the sticky note assignment, sometimes by just walking around the room with a clipboard and asking for a random note, or sometimes I will ask students to type up one of their notes.

This content is the same as what is on the calendar, posted here to make it easy to grab anything a la carte!

Instead of the sticky note annotations, another scaffold for reading and the final essay is Interactive Notes. I found these to be somewhat cumbersome for students to complete and for me to grade, but they can be a good option in some circumstances. You could also assign them for only for certain chapters, or assign only certain parts.
