Innovation Middle Math

Class overview

At Innovation all math classes are run with similar expectations.

Materials

Students are provided an Math Journal each semester. All work is expected to be done in this Journal. Students are encouraged to obtain a calculator, though one can be provided if necessary.

Grading

Grades are based mostly on assessments and projects. 

Each assessment is given two times with the opportunity for students to take it a third time (on their own time based on appointment and with proof of practice) if they would like to improve their score.

Grades are based on a 4 point system.

4 = Above grade level

3 = Grade Level

2 = Approaching grade level

1= An attempt was made

Homework

Homework is not assigned daily.  However, enough daily classwork is given for students to have extra work to practice on at home when needed.
