AP Exam Registrations
AP Registration is now open. The exam is free for students enrolled in the AP course. Students doing exam only option (not enrolled in the course) must fill out the Exam Only form and pay a $10 fee before October 21. Payments can be made at the financial office before school, during lunch, and after school. All students must register on the CollegeBoard website and complete all steps before the deadline. Any changes after the November 1st deadline will incur fees. Please visit the AP Exam website for more information on registering and fees.
Introducing Blanca and Abby
Beginning Now
We are excited to introduce Blanca and Abby, two Cal-SOAP College Readiness Coaches at Hoover who are available at our Counseling offie 4 days a week. Students can email Abby or Blanca to set up an appointment for support with college applications, FAFSA, and more.
USD Upward Bound Info Session

USD Upward Bound is recuiting students for its program Thursday at lunch in the Hoover Mini Theater.
First Gen College Fair

11th graders have been invited to attend a college fair at Southwestern College hosted by the First Gen Scholars Club.
Cal Poly Immersion Day
October 17th
Students will have the opportunity to hear from an admissions representative and learn about Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Graduation requirements, campus opportunities and more!

PSAT Exam

Extended Day
1st Session: November 3rd- December 19
The first session of extended day for the year will take place from November 3- December 19. Classes will take place Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:45pm-4:45pm. Students can meet with their school counselor to sign up.

College Application Workshops 2pm - 6 pm
Reality Changers, Graduate SDSU School Counseling students and School counselors will be providing support for college applications. 4th period slot targeted by academy, afterschool support open to all students. (CC, CSU, UC, Common, FAFSA, CAADA)

Financial Aid 101 Assembly
School Counselors will host Cal Soap Representatives to discuss financial aid options for students including FAFSA Application, CADA and types of aid offered.
