Visit the Hoover High Scholarship Website for scholarship opportunites available only to Hoover Students. Students are also able to find local scholarships and tips on how to apply, maintain organization and prepare for interviews.

Financial Aid
During all of Quarter 3, College Readiness Coaches will be supporting Hoover students with financial aid applications on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Fridays in the Counseling Center. Students are welcome to email Abby or Blanca to schedule an appointment or do walk-ins at teachers convenience.
The Priority Due Date is March 2nd, 2026 for the FAFSA/CADAA!
San Diego City College
On Monday afternoons come meet with Ms. Jaime from San Diego City College in the Counseling Center. She can help you preview programs, get your student ID, and set you up for success! Students who complete all steps will be invited to the City College Open House on Thursday April 16th, receive a $50 gift card, and get SDCC swag! Scan the QR code to register for time to meet with Ms. Jaime.

San Diego College of Continuing Education
During all of Quarter 3 on Monday mornings, coaches Mr. Mohammed and Ms. Vanessa from SDCE will help Hoover students apply to their high skill, high need, and high paying career pathways in the counseling center. Students can email aperez8@sandi.net to set up a time to meet. SDCE offers programs in trades such as welding, automotive, plumbing and more. Check Out their course catalog. here.
UCSD Upward bound, USD Trio, Cardinals Interact, and Wahupa are all recruiting students 9th - 11th grade to offer college support. These organizations all offer one-on-one guidance, college field trips, scholarship opportunities and more. Students can apply by emailing the organizations directly. Additionally. Reality Changer's On-Campus program currently has space for 2-4 12th graders interested in any post-secondary path.

Get to know more about UC's, CSU's, Private and community colleges from representatives of many schools. As well get to know more about employers from all around SD.
