1) Open the Week 1 Student Hyperdoc provided by your teacher.
2) Open the Connect the Dots project under the "You Do" section in your hyperdoc.
3) Add glide blocks to finish the drawing!
4) How would you change the size of the pen? How about the color?
5) Make something new! Change the background for more drawing challenges.
6) Try using "go to x y" instead of "glide". What's different?
File -> Save to your computer to save your program for later.
Make sure you have shared your project with your teacher using your hyperdoc.

If you had more time, what would you make happen next?
This week's lessons make use of the coordinate plane. Students do not need a foundational understanding of the coordinate system, X and Y axes, or origin. They only need to know how to make observations and guess & check. The 4th grade CS unit will go into depth on the coordinate plane.
In Scratch, the origin (0,0) is at the center of the screen. The X axis goes from -240 on the left to 240 on the right. The Y axis goes from -180 on the bottom to 180 on the top.
3-5 Grade Computer Science Standard: 3-5.AP.13 Decompose problems into smaller, manageable tasks which may themselves be decomposed.
