What is a Community School?

Community Schools are public schools that provide services and support that fit each neighborhood’s needs, created and run by the people who know our children best—all working together. 

Community Schools are based on four pillars:

1. Integrated student supports

2. Expanded and enriched learning time and opportunities

3. Active family and community engagement

4. Collaborative leadership and practices.
