Chesterton believes that teamwork is essential to fostering a supportive and effective learning environment. We value collaboration among staff, students, families, and community partners, recognizing that shared decision-making and collective effort lead to better outcomes for all.
Jessica Moore, Teacher
I am on my 28th year of teaching, 23 of those years here at Chesterton. I am passionate about community schools because it looks at the students holistically and it allows for the entire community to help our students thrive. On a personal note, my husband and I have raised a 22-year-old daughter who just graduated college, and an 18-year-old son, who just started college, so we are now left spoiling our 4-year-old fur baby. My hobbies are consuming anything artistic and/or cultural including music, movies, theater, festivals, art, dance, and more!
Alison Disque, Educational Specialist.
I have been an Educational Specialist at Chesterton Elementary School for 12 years. I support students in grades Transitional Kindergarten through Third Grade and am dedicated to helping every child succeed. In addition to working with students, I serve as a coach on the Community School Committee and am an active member of both the School Governance Team (SGT) and School Site Council (SSC).
I have an 8-year-old son, two dogs and a husband. We enjoy going to the beach and hiking.
Justin Abrencillo
I have had experience working at Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego Regional Center, and many different schools as an ABA provider. I am a firm believer in our students being in a place where they have a voice and a community which gives them the best chance to succeed.
I have a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare Management from Western Governor's University and a Bachelor's in Human Development Sciences with a minor in Psychology from UCSD.
My wife and I have a very young son at home who continues to be our inspiration on a daily basis. We love to go to watch baseball, go fishing, and enjoy playing golf as a family.
