Zones of Regulation is a social-emotional curriculum that teaches elementary students about emotions/feelings by putting our feelings together in color groups called "Zones." Each zone has a different coping skill or calm-down strategy for students to utilize.
Feelings: sad, sick, hurt, bored
Coping Skills: stretch, drink water, walk, talk to a safe adult
Feelings: happy, calm, focused, content
Coping Skills: help someone, try something new
Feelings: worried, nervous, excited, surpised, silly
Coping Skills: ask for help, deep breaths, count, use a fidget
Feelings: anger, mad, terrified, panicked
Coping Skills: stop signal, deep breaths, break time
