Welcome to Third Grade!

I am Mrs. Perez and I am thrilled that your child is in my classroom this year. I am looking forward to a year filled with growth and learning! This is my 13^th year of teaching and I am excited to be teaching 3^rd grade again at Nye.

I received my Bachelors in Arts from Cal State San Marcos and my Masters in Education from San Diego State University. I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors.

I am SO excited to be back in the classroom and I know that things are different than we are used to at the beginning of a new school year but I know we will all make the best of it!

Behavior:

An effective learning environment requires good behavior from all students. We will spend time building a classroom community and going over classroom expectations and behavior. It is expected that students are respectful, courtesy, and considerate of others. It is also expected that they will be responsible for their learning. Please make sure to communicate with your child about their classroom behavior.

Communication: The best way to reach me is by email or to send me a message on ClassDojo. Please keep in mind that during instruction time I will not be checking my messages and may not respond immediately. I will do my best to respond by the end of the school day.
