College/Career Readiness

To support College/Career Readiness of of students, Elementary School Counselors:

• Provide classroom lessons (including Xello)

  • Xello - introduce career exploration activities

  • Introduction to SDUSD Transcripts, Grades, and Academic Planning

  • Explore Personal Interests

• Coordinate with outreach department at community colleges/universities

  • Field Trips, Guest Speakers

• Introduce career pathway opportunities at feeder middle and high schools

• Organize and host college/career fair/day
