Order Your Cap and Gown
To participate in the Morse High School Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 28, 2026 eligible graduates MUST wear a MORSE ISSUED cap and gown. All Class of 2026 students and approved Class of 2027 early grads must order their cap and gown to wear in the ceremony. There is no cost to order or wear the Morse issued cap and gown. The caps and tassels may be purchased, if the graduate decides to keep the cap and/or tassel.

Deadline to order: Friday, January 9, 2026
Cap and Gown distribution will take place inside of the gymnasium after graduation rehearsal. Eligible graduates must pick up their own cap and gown.
The day after the graduation ceremony, graduates will return their borrowed cap, gown, and tassel beginning at 9:00 a.m. to a representative of San Diego Graduate Supply inside of the old main gates, near the elevator.
Caps and tassels may be purchased for $10 each (cash only). Payment must be made to the representative of San Diego Graduate Supply on May 29, 2026 between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Morse High School will not receive payment for caps and/or tassels.
Approved Graduation Attire Beyond Cap & Gown:
Academic Distinction: Cords, Stoles, or Tassels
CSF Cords
Traditional tribal regalia or recognized objects of religious or cultural significance as an adornment
On-Campus Site Approved Club & Organizations: Cords, Pins, Sashes (i.e. ASB, JROTC)
ANY CAP DECORATIONS THAT ARE DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE OR NOT ABLE TO BE UNDERSTOOD, WILL BE CONFISCATED AT THE ENTRANCE AND RETURNED AT THE END OF THE CEREMONY
IF YOU BORROWED THE CAP - THE DECORATION MUST BE EASILY REMOVABLE AND LEAVE NO MARKS PRIOR TO IT'S RETURN OR YOU MUST PURCHASE IT.
IF YOU DECIDE TO KEEP THE BORROWED, DECORATED CAP - YOU MUST PURCHASE IT FROM SAN DIEGO GRADUATE SUPPLY. A REPRESENTATIVE WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE CAP AND GOWN RETURN STATION ON MAY 29, 2026 TO PROCESS THE TRANSACTION.

Represent your place of continuing education or plans for the next steps
Thank a parent, grandparent, teacher, friend, etc.
Place a message that must be easily understood
Only have flat decorations
You May Not Have:
Violent language or images
Images or language depicting drugs or alcohol (or any illegal item or activity)
Hate speech, profanity, obscenities
Images or language that creates a hostile or intimidating environment based on any protected class
Codes, numbers, or unrecognizable phrasing
