2. LEARN: READ THE LEADER GUIDE

*Note: You must first complete Disciple Maker Training (Made to Multiply) in order to lead a Discipleship Group.*

Download and read the Discipleship Group Leader Guide. Find everything you need to know to lead a Discipleship Group, from objectives to content, rhythms and culture practices.

3. MEET: TALK WITH YOUR GROUP COACH

You are not leading alone. The person who led you through Disciple Maker Training (aka Catalyst) will be your Group Coach. Your Campus Pastor and Group Coach are there to pray for you, celebrate and encourage you. Be sure to engage with them as you prepare to start your group.

4. PRAY: BUILD YOUR GROUP

Depend on God, not yourself. Begin praying that God will lead you and your group before it even begins.

There are two ways to build your group: 

• Personal Invitations: Pray over who you know and make the personal invitation to join your group.

• Sandals Church Connect: If you have space for more, then attend a Connect gathering at your campus to meet and invite others to join your Discipleship Group.

If you ever need to add/remove people from your group, change meeting times/locations, or other group updates, please use the Group Update Form.

5. START: LEAD YOUR FIRST GROUP MEETING

Your Discipleship Group's first study will be through the book of Ephesians.
Use the Ephesians Leader Guide for a six-week, step-by-step guide through your first gatherings and study.

***Note: We created a unique leader guide for Ephesians to help you get started. All future studies will be governed by the Discipleship Group Leader Guide.***

6. GROW: LEVEL UP WITH LEADER TRAINING

Attend additional quarterly Disciple Maker Trainings and keep learning. Join your campus team and other group leaders to connect and learn key principles and best practices to start and grow a healthy groups and make disciples that multiply. Be on the lookout for an invite to the next Disciple Maker Training at your campus.
