Our project is about bringing a classic game, Snake, into the physical world using an 8×8 NeoPixel matrix. Instead of playing on a screen.
The game's movement and interactions are represented by LEDs, making it a hands-on experience for players. It’s a way to combine gaming with electronics and creativity.
Movement:
The snake moves in the direction controlled by a joystick. Each step lights up a new LED while "turning off" the tail LED, giving the illusion of movement.
Speed Control:
A potentiometer adjusts the speed, letting players increase or decrease the challenge level.
Food and Boundaries:
Random "food" LEDs light up on the matrix. If the snake eats the food, it grows longer. If it hits the boundary, a buzzer plays a "lose" sound.
Game Over:
The game ends if the snake collides with itself or goes out of bounds, accompanied by a buzzer alert.
