This week we've to design a pen & pencile holder.
I love the hexagonal shape of "Bee cell pattern" so, I decided to make my pen holder like it.
machine:
3D printer "prusa"
software:
-Fusion 360
-Ultimaker Cura (4.10.0)
Materials:
-PLA filament to print the pen holder by 3D printer.
3D printer "prusa"
First step: Choosing "xy" plan to draw on it.
then sketch "Hexagonal shape" by using inscribed polygon tool then repeated it by using circular pattern.
second step:
By using sweep feature i made the 3D hexagonal with 15 mm height then shell it.
Third step:
To sketch the base i've to make an offset plan to draw on it by using "construct"
Fourth step:
connecting betweetn the upper plan and the lower plan by using " Loft" to make the body of the base.
Fifth step:
Combined the two bodies and painted it.
then saved the model in *.STL format and file.
preparing the file before going to the fablab:
After saving the file in *.STL format.
then i opened the file in cura 4.10.0 software
then, I modified the settings to:
-the machine is prusa i3 MK2.
-profile is 0.2 with no supports and infill 10%
- temperature is 215.
-Filament is pla.
Then, making the slice step to check out the slicing process (1 hour and 20 min) 12g and then saved the file into .GCODE.
yep, My friends ( doaa and sahar) sugessted ideas to help me to achieve the full requirements.
Using an offset plan to make the base by loft tool
I've a proplem in the Fidget. This part "Hook" can't be extruded
i know later that the curve is opened so it can't be extruded.
Ahmed and Amany helped me.
