This is my make-through for the week's assignment. Grab a cup of coffee!
in this week we will Learn how to design and fabricate commercial product using come of digital fabrication techniques and how create joint between product parts
After i fail to design Alarm Clock using 2D drawing and laser cutter I change my idea after saw my little Bluetooth speaker on my desk
it looks nice so I got my inspiration from it and decide to re design it
so I start to measure it's dimension and start to draw it and i will use screw joint on it to attach parts together
first you need to download fusion from official website
the educational version has almost all features for 1 year for free
setup was to easy like silent install just click install and setup will start to do every thing for you
as i mentiond before i try to start drawing my alarm clock sketch but after one hour of nothing I cannot imagine the design and didn't now how to start drawing checked some images on the internet but I can't make it so lets try to draw something else
For my it's my first time to draw so I think my result will no be perfect but I will try to do my best
First I Draw My Bottom Sketch
Then i extruded wall for about 50 MM
then I draw another sketch on side and extrud cut from front and back for Power jack and power button
now at the top layer I drawed another sketch on top on create hole near the side and mirror it through center line to the other side
then I used thread tool to create M3 Screaw at hole to attach the top face
and then I created a little fillet at the bottom edge to make it smoother and get a better look
now we will design the top face for our speaker
we take an offset from the top face of body
then create another sketch to change size of hall make it smaller that screw head didn't pass through it
we also draw halls aligned the centerline then using pattern tool we select holls line and duplicate it 6 times in circle mode to create face pattern that allow voice to heared
now Lets view two parts together to see final result
as i have a 3D printer (Prusa bear Clone ) i have a well background of how to use it and a lot about parameters
I have used to use Cura instead of prusa slicer
i have import my stl file and arrange then in bed
set temperature to 205 as recommended for (esun PLA)
set bed temp to 55 and layer hight to 0.2 mm
we also have to enable build support as our screw halls are outter from the body and they will fall while printing
the estimated time for print about 4 hours (as i started late to print I hope I could finish printing before deadline :'( :'(
Now Our Printer Start to print and we are waiting ....
Finally ... Printing done with no problem
after removing printing support I try to collect them using M3 screw and it was a little tight at first but after rotatingmany times forward and backward it fits perfect
in this week I learned how to drawing sample product using fusion
how to use multi sketches and how to build screw joint to assemble parts together
