Instructional Coordinator
The Instructional Coordinator is responsible for supervising all academic processes within the Maker Diploma program, and supervising program curriculum development.

Technical Coordinator
The Coordinator monitors the flow of the program in their nodes, help the students with their suggestions and complaints, and plan for the operations and program’s administrative issues. Students can contact the Node Coordinator in cases of inquiry or problems with:
Street directions to reach the Fab Lab for the first time
Payment and refunding commitment fees
Receiving and returning electronic and construction kits and all related paperwork and signatures
Reserving or changing time-slots to access Fab Lab machines and tools
Requesting and receiving electronic components for the final project

Instructors
Each group of six students has one dedicated Group Instructor, who is there to guide them and provide mentorship throughout the diploma
Teaching the "Maker Diploma" is a team effort, no one knows every facet of every area. Instructors often work as a team, using other instructors as resources. "I Don’t Know, but I’ll Find Out" is an Acceptable Answer!
A Maker Diploma Instructor is responsible for:
Understanding the program mission, vision, and objectives
Mastering and being up-to-date with the skills we teach
Attending the Instructors Boot Camp and reading the Instructors' Guide
Attending the required meetings
Participating in content development and program coordination
Delivering scheduled in-week sessions
Engaging students through the class
Providing adequate availability to support students via communication platforms
Reviewing, evaluating and providing feedback on student progress
Following up and reporting on class and students' progress
Promoting a respectful environment free of harassment and discrimination

Slack
Join Maker Diploma Slack Workspace
Slack is mainly used for day to day communication. Messages are sent through different channels within the Maker Diploma Workspace, as follows:
Announcement Channel: This is a public channel where program coordination team make important announcements and send reminders to the entire class
Group Channel: This is a private channel where each group of six student and their instructor can interact together and share experiences
Troubleshooting Channel: This is a public channel where student can ask questions related to self-practice, exercises, or assignments to the entire class. They can also share with the rest of students, solutions for problems they were able to overcome
Media channel: This is a public channel where students can share videos and images of their small and big achievements with the Hands-on Activity, Exercises, and Assignments
Random channel: This is a public channel for everything else. It’s a place for jokes, spur-of-the-moment ideas, and funny GIFs. Go wild!
Emails is the main communication channel for official requests, suggestions, or complaints related to academic or administrative aspects of the program
Absence notification emails should be directed to the assigned Maker Diploma Instructor
Phone Calls
No private/direct calls or messages to instructors are normally allowed
Direct calls are only allowed to Node Coordinator
In case a student has a problem or complaint, he/she should communicate it to the instructor or the node coordinator and/or the program director
Levels of escalation are as follows:
Instructor: For issues related to the technical content and materials of the program through Slack
Node Technical Coordinator: For administrative problems
Project Lead: If the Node Coordinator did not respond in 24h
