Follow the Eye is an interactive arcade-style reaction game built around a mechanical animatronic eye. At the heart of the design is a 3D-printed eye mechanism that moves realistically, surrounded by four direction LEDs and an addressable RGB LED matrix that create a retro arcade atmosphere.
The gameplay is simple yet challenging: the eye looks in a random direction, and the player must react quickly by matching its movement using the joystick. If the reaction is correct and within time, the score increases; otherwise, the round is lost.
The project combines electronics, mechanics, coding, and fabrication into one enclosure designed in Fusion 360 and manufactured using 3D printing, laser cutting, and custom diffusers. With its gold and black color scheme, arcade-inspired control panel, and animated eye centerpiece, the project delivers both a technical challenge and a fun, eye-catching game experience.
