Hello there! I’m Omar Mairaneh, an electrical engineering graduate and passionate maker, currently enrolled in the Maker Diploma in Egypt. My journey bridges solid academic foundations with real-world, hands-on experience. I thrive where creativity meets technology, transforming concepts into impactful, functional prototypes.
Before this program, I completed a 3-month internship at Fab Lab Djibouti, where I developed skills in digital fabrication, including 2D and 3D design, machine operation (laser cutters, 3D printers), and rapid prototyping. That experience sparked my passion for the maker movement and taught me how powerful accessible technology can be when used to solve real problems.
When I’m not designing or building, you can find me:
Exploring Arduino and IoT projects
Sharing knowledge and helping teammates
Sketching ideas or reading about science & creativity
Or simply enjoying a quiet moment to reflect and recharge
My Hobbies
I enjoy reading manhwas and discovering new stories.
Listening to Quran brings me peace and focus.
I'm a big fan of football both watching and discussing matches.
Video games help me relax and stay sharp.
Traveling and exploring different cultures always inspire me.
I joined this program to push my boundaries, experiment, and grow. The Maker Diploma offers the perfect environment to learn cutting-edge fabrication techniques, collaborate with fellow makers, and develop real-world projects. Every day brings a new challenge and a new opportunity to grow personally and professionally.
It’s not just about tools and machines; it’s about mindset. This experience is preparing me for future roles in technology, innovation, and community development.
