About Me
Hello :)
I'm a multidisciplinary designer with a bit of a mixed background, but I’ve always found myself drawn to textiles, recycled materials, and anything hands-on. I studied Design at Goldsmiths, University of London, where I developed a strong interest in material culture and socially responsible design. I love working with my hands, exploring materials, and figuring things out through making. I’m always curious and constantly looking to learn, especially when it comes to building my technical skills or trying something completely new.
After graduating, I worked at Almah, a social enterprise repurposing excess resources from the Egyptian Clothing Bank to support underserved communities. Currently, I’m part of the marketing team at Safe Egypt, where I get to combine creativity and storytelling to support an important cause. Sustainability is a big part of what drives me. I want to use design as a tool for positive change. I’ve never been the type to sit at a desk all day, and I find inspiration by traveling, moving, being in nature, soaking up different cultures and photography.
My work so far has been mostly craft-based, so I decided to join the Maker Diploma to push myself, get more confident with electronics and technology, and open up new ways of bringing ideas to life. I’m excited to expand my toolkit, and just keep making, learning, and growing.
