As mobile phones become a huge part of our lives and we use them for literally everything, I decided to reduce my screen time and usage in general.
As someone who used my phone for watching random things for hours before falling asleep with it in my hand, I even wanted to leave it outside of my room. But I always find excuses to take it with me, one of them being the need to set an alarm for work.
To solve this, I simply bought a regular alarm clock. Unfortunately, the sound of this alarm wakes me up frightened like crazy . From this point, I realized that making my own smart alarm to control the sounds and design would be the ideal solution.
A simple smart alarm box with user inputs in the form of numbers to set the hour and outputs a chosen sound when it's time to wake up. It may also include reminders as well. Additionally, it can include a motion sensor to stop it from ringing.
Another feature could be the ability to set the alarm from a mobile phone as well.
Here's how it would work: (added this section)
Two inputs:
A numeric keyboard to enter the desired wake-up time in the 24-hour format.
A motion sensor to detect movement and stop the alarm sound.
Outputs:
Chosen sound played when the alarm triggers.
Adjustable lighting
Construction:
Wooden box cut with a laser cutter. ensemble all the parts and add fabricated design from one side of the box.
programmed Arduino as the brain of the device
