My idea is designing a smart irrigation system to irrigate plants. I care for this idea because of my son. As I usually, forget to watery his plants many times that causes total deplition of these plants. So, I decided to design a model to irrigate his plants.
The preperation process will be carried out as the followings:-
1-scratching the idea on a white paper.
2- Crafting teh model by using card borads /or foam.
3- writting the needed codes and test them.
4-Design the crafted model by using CAD sofweare to upgrade project level into a medium fidility scale.
5- starting the first trial of the prototype by using laser cut and 3d printer to finish the project interface and connecting all componnets.
6- Fitting all comonents Arduino, moisture sensor and water pump in addition to all proper wire connections with user interface model.
7- Retesting the prototype
I will use different tools such as
1- Materials for low fidelity are card board, glue gun, cutter, foam, scissors and ruler.
2- Materials for medium fidelity are plywood 3mm may be PLA.
3- Machnines are used (Laser cutter and 3d printer)
4- Software is Fusion 360 / or Auto CAD.
Construction Parts
The main body consist of 2 parts
the first part has 1 room for water with submerged pump and second part for electric components (Arduino, LEDs, LCD, DHT11, bread board, resistors, moisture sensor..)

A small pump absorbs water from small container to watery the plant. As soon as sensor detects less amount of water as an external stimulus from the environment it responses by activate the pump to absorb water from the container to watery the plant. LCD gives reading after process of watery.
Another out put action is done bu buzzer when the amount of water became less than the normal to make a sound before sucking water by the pump.

Minimum User Features
Example: Lamp changes color when the user gets closer
Moisture sensor detect the % of water in the soil .
LCD shows the % of moisture.
when the moisture decreases to a certain limit the pump starts to pump water from the source of water as a basin to irrigate soil.
Complete User Features
Adding DHT 11 sensor to detect the Temperature in celsius on the LCD.
Alternating the reading of both moisture and temperature sensors with 2 seconds delay.
Nice-to-have User Features
2 LEDs one is red and the other is green .
Green one lights up when the pump transfers water and when temperature less than 30.
The red led lights up when the temperature is grater than 30 celsius.
Bluetooth module to control the water pump.
