Assignment based on finding two files suit laser cutting and 3D printing.
Laser Cutting
i decided to look for design that make me able to produce wall watch as i like to build or create thing not buying them.
i searched online for suitable design and i got it from www.vectorsfile.com
3D Printing
always fascinated with elephant so i decided to look up for elephant design to print it.
i searched online for suitable design and i got it from https://www.thingiverse.com

LaserWork V6
i used this software is to be able to specify which in scanning area and where we will cut and what is the power and speed needed.
Ultimaker Cura
I used cura to be able to generate g-code for 3D printer to be able to slice it within the constraints we had for the assignment.

Laser Cutting
By using LaserWork V6 we were able to prepare our dxf file to be cutted as stated in the below carousel
removing unwanted items from file
colorize the different layers
set power and speed for each layer
saving RLD file
3D Printing
Using cura software will make us preparing g-code for our printer and to define all inputs required for this task
scaling model to required size
define resoultion standard and support and infill setting
slicing and exporting G-Code for the task

Laser Cutting
After having RLD file we have to download it to laser cutting machine and prepare machine to cut the file into plywood 3mm sheet to make our own product as stated in the following pictures.
3D Printing
After having g-code file we have to download it to Pursa i3 MK2 and prepare machine to print the file to make our own product as stated in the following pictures.

The Laser cutting assignment only made for one 2d element and one of my peers suggest to make the full task for myself to build the whole clock so i made it and now it in progress to install clock machine to be a full product.

after first cut finished the item didn't come out of the wood and the lab specilist told me i have to run the file again to make sure all items cutted perfectlly so i left the sheet in place to run the second cut.

i faced a lot of challenges in laser cutting in setting the right parameters and that make me able now to imagine the outcome of the cutting and this process will help me a lot during producing the enclosure for my project from the first run.
