My project serves as a new interactive mobile (moveable) art museum for the people to enjoy. As paintings and framed 2d illustrations have lost the way to connect with the people, it's time to enrich the people with a contemporary form of aesthetics and visuals that is accessible in their home. I aspire to create a galaxy projector that serves as an artistic light museum
I have been greatly interested in projection mapping, and one of the main initial steps is creating the projector itself. As I mentioned, it is one of the recent contemporary art trends. This projector has several modes and sensors that work by.
Project's Idea:
Simply, it is a projector that is when turned on, it makes the surrounding space resembles a starry night.
There is an additional mode that resembles the northern lights (aurora).
It has an analogue mode that turns it on using an On/Off switch.
Also, a sensor mode that turns it on when the user approaches, using a proximity sensor.
Project's General Features:
The projector will change its colors when the user moves around in a dynamic way using a motion sensor.
The projector will increase its intensity when the surrounding environment becomes darker using a light sensor.
The projector works using electricity by default, but can switch to battery mode as a stand-by mode.
Construction Parts
2.5 parts assembled in Fusion360 and fabricated using laser cutting.
Input
(Sensing, Tactile Input, and/or Graphical Input)
The projector takes input from the On/Off switch, as well as proximity and motion sensor.
Action
(Physical and/or Graphic)
Starry Night Mode: The projector contains LED bulbs that turns on when someone is near and changes its color when the user is moving.
Additional Mode (Aurora): It has a digital light effect controlled by the Arduino.
The current mood is displayed on the LCD.
Brain
Arduino UNO board
Power Management
Its default mode is using an adapter and additionally it has a battery mode.
Minimum Features: are the least amount of features that would demonstrate the coverage of all the technical modules and their complete integration
Complete Features: are the set of features that will complete your original project objective and vision
Nice-to-have Features: are the extra set of features that will make the project cooler, yet they need extra time, effort, and/or resources to finish
