I'm a cat lover and decided to choose something related to cats to make my design look cool

after searching I found this cat on www.3axis.com and downloaded this file dxf

I made a research on google

then I found this design and I decided to make it

my real inspiration <3

fusion 360 to design the holder and put dimentions

lasercad to prepare the file before cut and to calculate the speed and the power of cut

3 axis website to download the cat

mdf board

lasser machine

Design/Preparation Process

Explain the design and/or preparation process of your assignment. How did you use the tool or software to design and/or prepare your assignment before fabrication/implementation?

Started with sketching on Fusion

I used the sketching tools ; (Lines, constraints, mirroring, arc , rectangles , circles )

the back of the holder is consists of 2 rectangles 30*30 and T -slot and the upper contian arc between 2 rectangles

at the end I cut the not nesscery parts

the upper of the face arc and the face is consists of 2 rectanlges for the back and small circrle 3 mm for t slot

this was the face 3 mm extrude

the back also extruded 3 mm

choose the speed 25 and power 65 at cutting

at speed cut i choose the power 45 and speed 100

at first I draw the design to imagine the dimentions and i measured my mobile dimentions

after adding joints and choose cherry color

from 3 axis website I downloaded this cute cat dxf file then uploaded it on the face

on lassercad imported the files then calculate the speed and power of cut then i cut it

Development/Implementation Process

Explain the development/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?

first I went to the lap to fabricate ,

By using usb cable i connected the machine with the laptop and open lasercad to show my design

the speed of cut was 25 % and 65% power

then i choose speedcut 45% and power 100 to cat the cat

after downloading the design I put the sheet and box it to make sure that the size is okaay

then I click on start

then the machine started to print to give this final shape

Overcoming Challenges

What kinds of challenges or problems did you face while doing the assignment, tutorials, or exercises? How did you solve them? Did you ask for help from an instructor or peer? Please provide a link to the tutorial or article that you used to solve your problem (if any)

At first I had problems determining the angle of inclination of the mobile holder, but I searched on Google and knew that the most suitable solution was to put the two squares at a distance of 40 mm

I couldn't extrude the bodies at first

the solution was to choose every profile alone and extrude it
