In this week, we took the first steps in 2D sketches. First we start with making 2D parts by using cardboard in Hands-on, Minds-on activity, then we start learning how to draw 2D sketched in fusion 360, it was familiar for me as I already use SOLIDWORKS.
the assignment for this week was to design a mobile holder in fusion 360

we take the basics of Fusion 360 and learned how to draw 2D sketches, then Extrude all sketches into 2.5D parts and assemble all the parts to build our design

1- At the beginning of the week we did two exercises using fusion 360, one of them was fidget spinner

our assignment was to Design a model of a simple mobile phone holder that may rest on a flat surface, and I thought how to make it tilt at more than one angle to be more flexible in usage.
1- First Design was simple and didn't match the requirements so I had to design another one

I make all line to be cut (Speed:20, power:65), then I used the same steps in week1 to cut in laser cutter machine

I see very nice Idea in designs of my team mates, they face some problems to draw in fusion so I try to help and give them my feedback.
they give me their feedback also and they suggest some modification for my design to meet the requirements. I design more than one design with their help.

for me the challenge was to get a cool idea that combine between the requirements and my idea, because I focus on how I can make the mobile lie in more than one angle in the mobile holder
I made 3 design, I failed to finish one them. the second one didn't meet the requirements which is [Design 2] in the figure below.
finally I could get a design that meet the requirements and my idea {Design 1} in the figure below

in this week I learnt how to draw any 2.5D parts, it was very nice because I will need it to design the base of my project which will combine between the components

it was amazing when I could draw my first 3D part in fusion which was the spinner then I watch the tutorial and was able to design the wardrobe, it was amazing.
the coolest thing is that now I can draw any thing I can imagine in Fusion 360 then I can use laser cutter to make it real and useful
