Roxanne Miranda is a retired educator and lifelong Oxnard resident with more than 27 years of experience in public education. A graduate of Channel Islands High School, Roxanne went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge, followed by a teaching credential and a Master’s in Education from the University of La Verne.
Throughout her career, Roxanne taught middle school science, where she developed a reputation for inspiring curiosity, building confidence, and creating an engaging learning environment. Her passion for student growth and academic discovery shaped the lives of thousands of young learners across the Oxnard community.
As a parent, educator, and advocate, Roxanne has deep ties to the local school system. She and her husband raised three children who also attended Oxnard public schools. Her perspective blends classroom experience with a commitment to school-community connection.
Now retired from teaching, Roxanne supports Salus with an educational lens on school safety, emphasizing the importance of prevention, student-centered planning, and staff support. Her insight helps bridge the gap between classroom needs and districtwide safety goals.
