Sergio Figueroa is a retired police officer with 27 years of service in law enforcement and a deep commitment to youth, family, and community safety. Throughout his career, Sergio served in a variety of roles including Patrol Officer, Traffic Motor Officer, and most notably, as a School Resource Officer (SRO), a role he considers the most rewarding of his career.
As an SRO in the City of Oxnard, Sergio built strong, lasting relationships with students, educators, and families across multiple campuses. His work positively impacted thousands of students over the years, combining school safety with mentorship and meaningful connection. Beyond the classroom, he also helped hundreds of parents navigate the challenges of raising teens by serving as a certified facilitator for the nationally recognized Parent Project program.
Now retired from law enforcement, Sergio continues to serve school communities through Salus by supporting campus safety training, student engagement initiatives, and family-focused programs. His experience and heart for service make him a trusted resource for school districts across Southern California.
