This is the Mechakoop, my attempt at designing a level for Super Mario World, Through Super Mario Maker 2. In something as deceptively simple as Mario, I felt it was a great opportunity to challenge myself to think outside the box.
Summary of the project:
The project was created as part of my Experimental Level Design Module. Since this module has us creating 2 levels, this level was created in the span of 4 weeks.
Researched example Mario levels, and explored new techniques for idea generation, level structure, and pacing and flow, such as using Mario's kishotenketsu structure.
In the end, this module received a mark of 90%.
For this project I utilized Microsoft Word, Miro, and Super Mario Maker 2.
